In conjunction with the African Hunting Gazette, we at the Osprey Filming Company, are excited to introduce an innovative new product: African Hunting Gazette’s Safari Newsreel, which was launched with the October 2009 issue.

AHG Safari Newsreel is an action-packed DVD series, which features a number of different programs in each episode including:

Country profile. An overview of the featured country including the history, tourist attractions, wildlife, vegetation and more.

Hunting feature. An exciting hunting safari typical of the featured country.

Conservation topic. Stressing the importance of hunting in wildlife conservation.

Professional Hunter Interview. Interview with a P.H. from the featured country.

The first edition of AHG Safari Newsreel featured the Southern African country of Namibia and was sent out to all of the magazine’s subscribers. In the next edition (convention issue) we will be including a DVD in every issue of the magazine, the print run is currently at the 10 000 mark. Zimbabwe is the featured country in the next issue and we have some exciting and interesting programs to share with you.

Not only will the magazine and DVD be sent out to all of our subscribers but it will also be available in Cabelas stores across the USA as well as in Barnes and Noble bookstores.

The Safari Newsreel DVD will be interactive with this website and we look forward to providing thoughtful insights into the safari industry, with our news, articles, blogs and online videos.
