Hunting Concessions

bullets

Botswana

Our hunting concessions in Botswana extend over 1.2 million hectares making us one of the largest hunting companies in the country. From the arid Kalahari Desert through the emerald expanse of the Okavango Delta into the vast wilderness of the Chobe we hunt in every habitat type throughout the country.

The Okavango Delta.

Unlike every other major river in the world, the Okavango never reaches the sea. The river meanders through papyrus-filled swamps between banks of compacted sand and peat overgrown with Wild Date Palms (permanent swamp), just to disappear into the desert sands of northern Botswana in an endless web of lagoons and lush grassy wetlands (seasonal swamp).
The diverse wildlife and rich vegetation of this unique area makes it one of Africa’s last true wilderness destinations and offers hunters endless challenges and opportunities.

The Chobe Area.

This vast northern area encompasses a wide variety of diverse habitats that are home to great numbers of game and the largest herds of elephant anywhere in Africa. The Chobe is an area of extreme contrasts with a variety of geological features and flora, which vary from the almost tropical habitat of the Linyanti Swamps to the severe, desert-like landscape of the Savuti. It also contrasts from the lush Chobe flood plain grasslands, to the deep sands of the Brachestegia woodland.

The Kalahari Area.

One of the world’s most extensive mantles of sand, is the home of the San bushman. Most is anchored by sufficient vegetation to attract wildlife that has long since adapted to survival without a permanent water supply in this semi-arid region.

Limpopo region.

This is an extremely picturesque and diverse wilderness. It has river-hugging forests, savannah plains, open marshlands and boulder strewn rocky outcrops, punctured by bushveld vegetation. Species that can be hunted include Leopard, Crocodile, Wildebeest, Kudu, Zebra, Impala, Bushbuck, Waterbuck, Eland and Giraffe.

Mozambique

We manage over 400,000 hectares of pristine wilderness in northern Mozambique. The concession area is situated south-west of the Niassa Game Reserve and lies between the Luatise and Lugenda rivers as its northern and south-eastern boundaries.

The area is rocky, flattening out onto the banks of the aforementioned two rivers. The sub tropical vegetation and climate with its moderate to high rainfall is home to huge herds of Sable and from the gigantic African Elephant to the tiny Suni can be found here.

This region is the perfect destination for the adventurer who wants to experience the true African wilderness.

South Africa

                                    elephant

This huge swathe of land at the most southern tip of Africa and washed by the Atlantic and Indian oceans, has enormous wealth above and below ground, making it one of the richest natural storehouses on the planet. Its staggeringly beautiful Western Cape, towering dunes of the Wild Coast, magnificent game parks, Kalahari and Karoo deserts, majestic mountain ranges and stunningly beautiful coastal belt makes it truly a world in one country.

Various ecosystems ranging from desert to sub-tropical coastal forests, supports the largest number of fauna and flora species to be found in any one country, in the world. Hunting takes place in all nine provinces of South Africa in either governmental conservation areas or large privately owned ranches and reserves, depending on the required species.

The hunting season in South Africa is open all year round but hunting of certain species is restricted in certain provinces during the course of the year.

En-suite ablutions offer hot and cold water showers with basins and flush toilets. The tents are serviced daily and a laundry service is also provided. Stocked with good food and a selection of imported wines, beer and spirits the standards of our camps are second-to-none.
